Lakewood College was approved as a training provider to receive scholarships for Cuyahoga residents last month. The Cuyahoga County Educational Assistance Program (CCEAP) provides financial assistance for Cuyahoga County residents seeking a post-secondary degree and/or program certification that will lead to gainful employment or career advancement!

Scholarship recipients must be at least 18 years of age, within 12 credit hours of course completion, complete training within 18 months, and receive training in occupations identified as in demand.

Lakewood College’s online Certificate and Diploma programs will provide Cuyahoga residents with the training they need for gainful employment. We offer online programs in the business, medical and legal fields that ultimately lead to high demand careers!

Scholarship recipients will have the flexibility they need to earn an education without getting in the way of their busy schedule. Students are able to study in the comfort of their own home, at their own pace and on their own time. All students are assigned to an instructor and have the opportunity to connect with their peers through discussion forums and various social media platforms.

In addition, all students work with our Career Services Department after they graduate. We work with students to create a resume, build a cover letter, and provide interviewing techniques. We also help our students find a job through our placement specialist!
